Menorah | Hayom x Leo Nataf

STORY:
Inspired by travels from the Amazon to North Africa, Léo Nataf’s work explores exile and ancestry. Through fire, he transforms collected materials into hybrid forms that bridge the archaic and the futuristic.

For Hayom, he created a unique ceramic Hanukkiah with a metallic glaze, inscribed with verses from the Book of Exodus. The shape of the menorah recalls a fragment of an ancient wall, with a visible gold repair referencing kintsugi, the Japanese technique of mending ceramics with lacquer and gold.
