This Kiddush cup by NY-based multimedia artist Gabriela Vainsencher shows a lighthouse as a reference to the description of the Jewish people as the "Light for the nations". The artist does not believe in the moral superiority of any nation or people but she sees the metaphor of the beacon as an ideal of moral and kind behavior to aspire to. Handmade painted ceramics
